Room 2 is growing and we've got some new stars to add to our amazing class. Welcome Rubi, Mila, Xavier and Eilidh. It so exciting have them at school. We're making friends and learning lots of new things. We hope you love being in Room 2 and at Belfast School

Mason and Rubi get certificates

Well done to Mason and Rubi. Mason was awarded the first certificate for the year at our Junior & Lower Middle Assembly. Rubi  received hers last week at our Syndicate assembly. They were very proud and we are all impressed too!

Room 2 has a Treaty!

We are been learning about treaties. We learnt about the Treaty of Waitangi.  We have made our own class treaty with special rules everyone in Room 2 must understand and show. We also looked at koru designs in Visual Art. We talked about where we see koru shapes in the environment.  We can see them at the beach and in ferns. We spotted them in the class on our class whare wall. Ava said that she's seen koru on a moko...

Buddy Time

Every Friday our Buddy class, Room 14 with Mrs Wing, come and visit. This week they read stories to us. We played games, drew pictures and made things. They're awesome! It's great having the big Year 5/6 children helping us. We are making friends with lots of different people at school!

The people who help us at Belfast School!

We've been searching the school finding people who help us. We visited Mr Simpson in his office. He's our Principal. He makes lots of decisions and helps everyone. As Mason said, "he's the boss!" We've been to library and Mrs Symes helps us get books out. Kevin, our property manager, he helps in a million different ways. Donna, helps our families with paying money and ordering things. Karen, she is in Office too. She helps in the sick bay, answers the phone and does lots of important jobs for Mr Simpson and the teachers. She also works with groups of children. Mrs Johnstone and Mrs Taylor, are our Deputy Principals, they help the teachers, families and all the children. Wow! There are so many helpful people at Belfast School.

Awesome Aquatics

We are loving being at the pool. Leanne, from NZ Swimming, came and we did some awesome activities.... we did monkey crawls along the wall... we were jumping beans and we blew bubbles! The water is beautiful at the moment!!!

Welcome to 2017

Haere Mai and welcome to Room 2 and the new school year at Belfast School.  I am so excited about all adventures we will have together this year.  Please come and check this page regularly to see all the amazing things in Room 2....

We all had a brilliant first day in Room 2.  We would like to send a warm welcome to Willow, Jake, Madison, Ashlyn, Mason and Liliana who have had an amazing first of school. We have an exciting year ahead!!!!
