Strike Percussion

Our focus for Music is beat. We have been learning to keep the rhythm. We had Strike Percussion from Wellington come and perform for us. They were amazing. It was loud and thrilling. We learnt to use our bodies to keep the beat. Watch out there are lots of potential rockers who rock an awesome beat amongst our Room 2 super kids!

Disco divas and dudes!

We put on our best most fancy gears and danced the night away at our first ever school disco. There were yummy treats to eat and lights to sparkle and glow in the dark. We danced with our friends and had heaps of fun!!!

Magnificent Maths

We do lots of clever things in Numeracy. We have been ordering objects according to size. We ordered teddies- Bradley was amazed when we found the ginormous teddy! We made towers. Mason and Finn thought carefully about the 3d shapes they needed to construct their towers. We've made interesting patterns with a multilinks cubes. Honor ordered the rods too (Mrs Kearns loved playing with these when she was at school). Such fun!!!

The 3 Billy Goats Gruff

Our Storytelling time has taken us to Norway with the 3 Billy Goats Gruff. We can step out and preform the story, we've painted mean and scary trolls and thought carefully about how clever the Goats were. We wrote about the setting. Louis got a special sticker from Mrs Johnstone for his writing about the luscious green grass that the goat ate.  Ava wowed us when she bought to school a cake that was decorated amazingly. It had the 3 Billy Goats, the mean troll under the bridge and it tasted delicious!!!

Room 2 Cross Country Champions

Room 2 were amazing our cross country. It was perfect running conditions. We had been busy training for the big event and we knew we had to keep trying and keep running. Our goal was to do our best!!! Mrs Kearns thought Room 2 should have won the event for the smiliest class. A huge congratulations to Mila, Madison and Honor who won the Five Year Old girls competition. Also well done to Jake who came third in the 5 year old boys race. A huge thank you to Mason and his Mum,  Kristy who supplied us with the hay bails....
