Pirate Day Shanty

https://youtu.be/7xkQyIFtr1g

Ohoy me Hearties... we had some scallywag pirates!!!

Shiver me timbers.... Belfast School was taken over by troublesome pirates and magnificent mermaids on Friday. Some travelled from the far seas across from Belfast kindergarten... in our parade we practised our best "yo ho ho's" and "arghhs"  and we danced to sea shanties. We searched for treasure and we did our best not to flash our swords...

Teach Me Tuesday

Every Tuesday Mrs Kearns hands over her teaching wand and someone teaches us something amazing. We are learning so much!
Indie taught us to make a Lego playground. We loved the lights and the tiny piano.
Levi taught us all to play Tiddlewinks- it was hard!
Connor is a Marvel Avengers expert and brought in his awesome collection.
Monique taught us some science and we made balloon rockets. One went as high as the Junior Learning Center.

Ferry Mead Fun

The boys at school
Doing the dusting

As part of our Inquiry, Toys Through Time, we visited Ferry Mead. We loved dressing up and pretending it was one hundred years ago. We went to school with the very strict and bossy Miss Brown. We helped clean Mrs Grey, the policemans' wife's house. We played with old fashioned games for the indoors and heritage games outside. We made a thaumetrobe puppet. We loved seeing all the old vehicles and the bus ride was awesome.

Then we competed in sports such as hurdles, shot put, gymnastics and discuss.  We have been following the New Zealand Olympic team with interest....
