Poetry Competition

Room 2 performed some fabulous poems in our class competitions. Everyone was brave to get up and perform in the class. Well done to Emily and Monique who represented Room 2 in the finals. We were all very impressed!!!!

Teach Me Tuesday

Every Tuesday Mrs Kearns hands over her teaching wand and someone teaches us something amazing. We are learning so much!

 Indie taught us to make a Lego playground. We loved the lights and the tiny piano. 

Levi taught us all to play Tiddlewinks- it was hard!

Connor is a Marvel Avengers expert and brought in his awesome collection. 

Monique taught us some science and we made balloon rockets. One went as high as the Junior Learning Center.

NZ Youth Pipe Band

The NZ Youth Pipe Band came to do a concert. We were all so impressed. The music was really LOUD and the bag pipes and drums were awesome. We even go to take turns and have a go. It's Mrs Kearns favourite! It was great to see and hear all the instruments up close!

Goldilocks and the 3 Bears

Yum Yum! We have been investigating some classic fairy tales and in Science we are learning about Heating and Cooling. So we did some observations, made some predictions and made some tasty porridge. Our porridge was just like baby bears.... it bubbled and popped when it got really hot....  Luckily no one was chased away and there wasn't any broken furniture!

A special assembly for Room 2

Well done to Mitchell. He was awarded the class certificate for  all the amazing effort  he had been putting into his learning. Also Monique and Mitchell won a prize for their amazing holiday reading. Quinn was also lucky. She was listening so carefully  and being so respectful during assembly that she got into the assembly  prize draw and won the prize for the Juniors. Awesome  stuff Room 2!

Scavenger Hunt

Our bunch of explorers (on a very sunny afternoon) took their skills and set out with their Room 12 buddies to hunt for treasures out in nature. They found spiders, leaves with different shapes and colours, seeds and acorns. The explorers had a list to tick off and they worked hard as team together to find all the things. Kai pai tamariki!!!!
