Mrs Taylor came to join our Circle Time session. She brought Benji along to meet Room 2. Benji loves gentle pats, listening to stories and going for walks. We are so lucky to have a school dog!

It was a glorious sunny afternoon for the Junior and New Entrant children to show off their aquatic skills. We had many events such as streamlining, kick boards, noodle races and we even had a horse race. We then all turned into star fish!! The grand finale was when we all danced to the coconut song doing some jump jam moves in the pool. A huge thanks to all the families who came to support us. Thanks to NZ Swimming for their support and professional development this swimming season! Well done Room 2 fish, you all grew on confidence and skills.
We love maths on Room 2. We have been using Roda to design pictures. We also love sequencing numbers using our numicon equipment! Maths is awesome!!!
We had the best day ever at Waimairi Beach! We learnt some amazing skills about how to be safe at the beach. NZ Surf Life Saving Guards taught us how to be safe. We know to swim between the flags, always swim with a friend and have an adult around, we have to know our limits and Slip, Slop, Slap, Wrap! It was heaps of fun going on the bus. We went to the surf Lifesaving Club house. We then went down to the beach and made sandcastles and played some beach games. The best part of the day was when we went for a swim. We jumped and swam in the waves. The weather was beautiful. Thanks to all the helpers who came along too!!!
