Kai pai Solarah! !

Solarah was awarded the Principals Award for Care for Term 1. Solarah has had a super start to school. She has made lots of new friends and is a caring person to everyone in Room 2. She is always helpful and she cares about learning.  Tu meke Solarah- we are proud if you!!!!!

Scavenger Hunt

Our bunch of explorers (on a very sunny afternoon) took their skills and set out with their Room 12 buddies to hunt for treasures out in nature. They found spiders, leaves with different shapes and colours, seeds and acorns. The explorers had a list to tick off and they worked hard as team together to find all the things. Kai pai tamariki!!!!

Our first school trip!!

One rainy Monday a bunch of very excited explorers took a trip to the Canterbury Museum. They travelled in style... a bendy bus that stretched right down the road.  The explorers discovered interesting things- dinosaur bones, tarantulas, Early Maori artifacts,  a movie about a Paua shell house, amazing birds and so much more.... the explorers had fantastic parent help to lead them the way. The explorer's teacher was so impressed by the questions that were asked and manners that the explorers had... they discovered so much!!!!

Zac- our News Reporter

Zac shared some great news. He brought in a toy from Lynda's house. He also showed us a family photo from a favourite holiday. It looked like it was an awesome trip! Great sharing Zac!

Easter fun!!!

We had a great time celebrating Easter. We made easter baskets with our buddy class. It was great to have their help to do all the tricky bits. We also had an Easter Egg hunt. We had a find the hidden number to color the picture- our prize was a delicious chocolate egg! We had a eggcellent time!

We voted for the NZ flag

It was a tough decision to make. Do we vote for our old flag or the new flag? Everyone had their own opinion.... we made our choice and voted!!!!

Welcome Levi, Kevin, Ella, Monique and Aman

Its been great having Arman, Levi,  Monique, Kevin and Ella start school. Our class is now complete!!!!! Arman loves playing football. Monique is so caring.  She loves playing with baby dolls. Levi loves making this and he is a super hero fan- especially Spiderman. Ella loves singing and dancing and talking about her family.  Kevin loves music too and he is very good at drawing!  Its great to have the Room 2 team altogether!!!
