Disco Fever

We had an amazing time hitting the dance floor... with some rocking tunes, flashing lights and some smooth moves... lots of us had an awesome time at the disco!

Zac- our News Reporter

Zac shared some great news. He brought in a toy from Lynda's house. He also showed us a family photo from a favourite holiday. It looked like it was an awesome trip! Great sharing Zac!

Easter fun!!!

We had a great time celebrating Easter. We made easter baskets with our buddy class. It was great to have their help to do all the tricky bits. We also had an Easter Egg hunt. We had a find the hidden number to color the picture- our prize was a delicious chocolate egg! We had a eggcellent time!

We voted for the NZ flag

It was a tough decision to make. Do we vote for our old flag or the new flag? Everyone had their own opinion.... we made our choice and voted!!!!

Well done Zac

Well done Zac! Zac got a certificate from Mr Simpson in assembly.  He has been showing some great skills during swimming and his confidence grows each swimming time!

Sea Week Chalk Art

After the parade we turned the concrete outside the Junior Learning Centre into a ocean filled with fish, mermaids, boats and all things oceanie. It was so much fun and we were amazing artists!

Sea Week Fun

This week we read a book called "What the tides brings in". Karen, one of our amazing teacher aides who loves visiting Room 2,  brought some of her ocean treasures to show us. We listened to the ocean with her shells and investigated some precious shells too- we looked at paua shells, an amazing conch and lots of pretty shells. They were beautiful! Thanks Karen! They made our story come alive!!!!!!

Our First Week

We have had a great first week. We love playing in the class home corner,  doing puzzles, listening to stories, playing with mobilo.... the list is huge!!!!! Room 2 is awesome!
