Headline News Scientists make Slime!!

The Room 2 Scientists made some amazing observations when they completed an experiment to make Slime.  When they mixed the solid- corn flour with food colouring and water (1 cup corn flour / 2 cups water) the liquid slowly mixed and turned from a liquid to a solid the more they mixed. It went from  feeling smooth to oooey and gooey and slimy.... Our expert scientists are keen to show their learning to families (if you're keen email some pics).... Mrs Kearns had to remember that she was in a room of amazing scientists and forget about all that goo....

Fairy Tale Fun

We celebrated learning about fairy tales with a Princess and Knights Dress Up Day. We had a Royal Pageant. We gave royal waves to the crowds who came... The day ended with a very special Discovery session. We made dragons, shields and crowns. But the big surprise was when the Disney Fairies arrived. They told us stories and we played games. It was an amazing day!

Thanks Nanny!

A huge thanks to Solarah's Nanny for making us delicious chocolate cupcakes! We heard about how amazing Nanny's baking is when Solarah wrote about after staying in the holidays. We were so excited when we got a surprise delivery.... Solarah didn't even know! The cupcakes were soooo delicious!

Disco Fever

We had an amazing time hitting the dance floor... with some rocking tunes, flashing lights and some smooth moves... lots of us had an awesome time at the disco!

Healthy Eating Party

In Week 4 it was Healthy Eating Week. We worked hard all week and to celebrate working as a team we had a party at the end of the week. It was so much fun trying new foods, using our manners and being polite when something doesn't take our fancy. Mrs Kearns tried feijoas- yummo.  The sushi disappeared in a flash! A big thanks to everyone for bringing something to share!

Goldilocks and the 3 Bears

Yum Yum! We have been investigating some classic fairy tales and in Science we are learning about Heating and Cooling. So we did some observations, made some predictions and made some tasty porridge. Our porridge was just like baby bears.... it bubbled and popped when it got really hot....  Luckily no one was chased away and there wasn't any broken furniture!
